At the recent 2020 OFSAA Boys’ AAA Basketball Championship, the Innisdale Invaders earned the right to represent the GBSSA. The student-athletes and coaches were selected to receive the OFSAA Team Sportsmanship Award.
The Invaders were the #12 seed at OFSAA this year that took place in Burlington from March 9th to 11th. A tough first day saw the Invaders being relegated to the consolation bracket after loses to #2 Kennedy (SWOSSA) and #5 Henry Carr (TDCAA). Day 2 opened with a close loss to #14 L. Riel 66-62 (NCSSAA) which ended the Invaders extremely successful season.
Although the results weren’t what the team had hoped for, their perseverance and competitive spirit makes all of GBSSA and the SCAA proud. Congrats on an AMAZING season!
