SCAA playoff games have been cancelled for Feb. 21st due to inclement weather. All games are currently being re-scheduled and those schedule adjustments will be applied to the SCAA website as soon as possible.
Twin Lakes won the Sr & Jr Girls’ volleyball SCAA championships on Feb. 15th by defeating GBDSS 3-0 and NPSS 3-1 respectively. The TLSS Jr Boys’ basketball team won the SCAA championship on Feb. 14th by defeating NPSS 75-50. All three teams now move onto the GBSSA semi-finals against the CSASC champions.
January 17th will be an evening which will see the boys and girls hockey teams from CCI and Jean Vanier face off at the Eddie Bush Memorial Arena. The girls’ game gets started at 6:30 p.m., with the boys set for 7:30 p.m. Donations will be accepted and money raised will be donated to the Hospital for Sick Children. The Eastview Wildcats Boys and Girls hockey teams were crowned Kempenfelt Cup champions yesterday at the Barrie Molson Centre. The Eastview Boys Wildcats defeated the Nantyr Shores Secondary School Tritons 1-0 in a shootout championship final and the Eastview Girls Wildcats defeated the Barrie North Vikings 1-0 in their respective championship final. The event also netted an $11 000 donation to the Christmas Cheer campaign.
